The concept

The impressive FB272 M/Y LUMINOSITY is 107.6 meters long with a beam of 17 meters, six decks, and twelve unique suites; the second yacht to be built during Benetti’s Giga Season. Her eye-catching exterior design was born from the creative collaboration of the shipyard with Zaniz Jakubowski, Andrew Langton, and Giorgio M. Cassetta. Conceived to evoke the idea of a moving palace of glass and with an artistic soul, she offers those onboard immense and spectacular views of the landscape. Her DNA in touch with the natural surroundings is also revealed by the cutting-edge technology she is equipped with, making her a groundbreaking hybrid cruiser projected toward the future.

An EXTRAORDINARY HIGH-TECH HYBRID ICON

A FASCINATING SYMPHONY OF LIGHT

With extra-clear three-meter-tall windows, shell doors integrated on the Lower Deck, and glazed surfaces, M/Y LUMINOSITY inundates her spaces with natural light, providing seamless views of the world outside. At the Sun Deck level, the sculptural skylight further enhances this effect, crafting a scenic, luminous experience along the 18-meter staircase that connects the decks.

AN ART-CENTRIC, CULTURAL JOURNEY THROUGH BEAUTY 

On board, M/Y LUMINOSITY embraces art through striking creations, paying homage to grand artists by evoking their masterpieces. From Damien Hirst’s colored circles in the Main Deck Lobby to Man Ray’s eye-shaped construction to Matisse’s ‘Beasts of the Sea’ of the backlit ceiling cut-outs, every detail embodies a story waiting to be captured.

Along the height of the main staircase, a series of interactive panels project 370 meters of digital art inspired by the organic world. A moving forest sways upon the guests’ passage as 264 white magnolia flowers open and close at various speeds. In the VIP suite on the Upper Deck, an onyx sculpture portrays the changing moon phases irradiating the space with a dreamy light.

AN INNOVATIVE AND SOUNDLESS CRUISING EXPERIENCE

MY/LUMINOSITY is equipped with a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system powered by diesel-electric engines, two Azipods of 2,200 kW each, and advanced high-tech battery technology. The result is a stable, vibration-free, and soundless navigating experience that can cover up to 8,000 nm at 10 knots.

Her 3 megawatt/h Lithium Polymer battery bank can offer up to 12 hours of power with the generators switched off, entirely avoiding CO2 emissions, while the fully integrated Power Management System is sophisticated enough to ensure that all the energy saved is used optimally.
