The E-MODE HYBRID SYSTEM
The advanced E-Mode Hybrid System brings together traditional and electric propulsion systems to offer the best of both worlds. The entire yacht can be powered in electric mode by combining diesel generators and electric motors supported by advanced lithium-ion batteries. It is available for all models of the B.Now, B.Century, and B.Yond families, as well as bespoke yachts, and can function either in Parallel Hybrid Mode (PTO/PTI) or Serial Hybrid Mode with diesel-electric, depending on size.
EMISSION REDUCTION
Based on annual use of 1,000 hours, comprising 400 hours underway and the rest at anchor, fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24% and NOx by up to 85%.
ECO-FRIENDLY NAVIGATION
with FOUR CRUISING MODES
Ideal for low-speed coastal or night cruising, this mode’s main benefit is the exceptional comfort it offers. The diesel engines are switched off, but the gensets continue to supply energy to the electric motors.
Designed for long transfer journeys and coastal cruising, this mode delivers reductions in fuel consumption and emissions.
The gensets are switched off and the yacht can go at full speed, with the electric motors powered by the main engine and working as shaft generators.
Both diesel generators are switched off while only one propulsion engine runs, enabling the yacht to halve the running hours of the main engines and gensets. As a result, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 16% and NOx emissions by up to 80% compared with traditional propulsion systems.
YACHTS FEATURING or AVAILABLE with E-MODE HYBRID SYSTEM This zero-emission mode is most suited to short trips along the coast. It allows entry to protected marine areas or zones usually designated as off-limits to motor yachts, with the range depending on the capacity of the battery pack.
