FIRST OASIS 40M SOLD TO AN AMERICAN OWNER.

With the sale of the first Oasis 40M BO101, Benetti books another order on the US market. The yacht, which has a fiberglass hull and superstructure and a gross tonnage of 385 tonnes, is already being outfitted by craftsmen and engineers at the Livorno shipyard, with completion planned for summer 2020.

On July 26, at Benetti’s Livorno shipyard, the owner of Giga yacht FB275 set sail on his 108-meter vessel while the first Oasis 40M’s fiberglass hull arrived for the start of outfitting operations, in a perfectly synchronised handover.

BO101isthe first Oasis 40M, a 40.80-meter yacht with a maximum beam of 8.5 meters, a draft of 2.14 meters and a gross tonnage of 385 tonnes, and has been sold to an American owner, who was represented by Merle Wood & Associates, a broker based in Fort Lauderdale in the United States.

This marks another success for Benetti in the Americas where, after the recent sales of FB278 67-meter custom build “Project Fenestra”, multiple award-winning 69-meter “Spectre” and 49-meter custom yacht “Eladrea+”, the brand continues to forge ahead, drawing on ‘Made in Italy’ excellence to offer guarantees of originality and quality at the very highest level.

“I’ve been going fast my whole life,” says the new owner Tim Ciasulli, former World Champion offshore powerboat racer with 4 World Speed Records! “So when it came time to build a yacht, I wanted to collaborate with a shipyard that shared the same core values that my wife and I believe in: integrity, passion and accountability! Plus, we didn’t want – another – job, so it had to be quick, easy and fun. We expeditiously negotiated a great deal, and in just two meetings, nailed down the equipment, interior decor and colors…just the way we wanted! They are real professionals, at every level, and made the yacht buying experience a really positive life adventure!”

“Size does matter, and nobody has got the yacht building process more streamlined than Benetti”, says Captain Mike Wyer, the couple’s owner representative.

“Benetti is the reliable Italian builder to deliver the yachting dream” says John Jacobi, Broker at Merle Wood & Associates. “This project will be the envy of most. Undoubtedly, many others will be inspired to build their very own Oasis.

The assembly has already been completed of the BO101’s fiberglass hull and superstructure, involving a team of experts who worked to get everything ready in time to start outfitting on July 26, a process that will continue until the delivery in summer 2020.

Oasis 40M is an innovative and ambitious yacht, the fruit of collaboration between Benetti and UK-based firm RWD, working in liaison with Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, the top New York firm commissioned to design the interiors.

On board this yacht, the owner and his guests will enjoy wide, welcoming spaces characterised by a design that is both smart and sophisticated. The high ceilings, the special arrangement of the indoor and outdoor spaces, and the extensive glazed surfaces all contribute to this yacht’s spectacular appearance, while the unusual layout features lateral stern platforms that can be open out with great ease to facilitate access to the sea and an extended beach area, complete with an infinity pool practically at water level.

The shipyard’s experts and designers from UK-based firm RWD worked in partnership to develop a high-performance model inspired by a lifestyle concept never catered to before, while remaining loyal to Benetti’s high standards.

“On this yacht you experience the sea in an entirelynew way,” said RWD’s Team Principal Adrian Chisnell. “The wide spaces, the hydrotherapy pool and easy access to the water present guests on Oasis 40M with an onboard lifestyle that is both dynamic and relaxing”.

The shared intention of both companies was to eliminate the barriers between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a unique setting akin to a loft on the water, as explained by Enrico Bonetti, the world famous architect and partner of Dominic Kozerski in the New York-based Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture: “On this yacht, we wanted thesettings to have an unprecedented fluidity, which is why identical materials and colours are used for both the interiors and exteriors, giving a sense of apparent informality to what is in fact an extremely elegant and sophisticated yacht”.
