From October 30 to November 3, Azimut|Benetti Group will be attending the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a key event in consideration of the importance of the US market for the company led by Paolo Vitelli.
Azimut Yachts will exhibit 15 models from all the brand’s Collections ─ Verve, Atlantis, Magellano, Flybridge, S and Grande ─ while Benetti will be showing 2 Class category yachts: “Mr Loui”, the second Mediterraneo 116 unit, and “Lejos3”, the fourth Fast 125 unit.
Azimut Yachts
Azimut Yachts CEO Marco Valle explained: “We’ve decided to attend the show with some of the most characteristic models in each Collection and our best-sellers on the US market, to demonstrate once again how our range satisfies the most diverse needs expressed by owners in terms of design, performance and layout”.
The United States is an important market for Azimut Yachts, the top-ranking brand this year by sales in the segment over 40 feet*.
Verve: this Collection will be represented by Verve 40, a fast and hospitable daycruiser with a length of about 13 meters, a maximum beam of 3.89 meters and a top speed of 41 knots, designed by Marco Biaggi and Filippo Salvetti of Neo Design.
Atlantis: the two yachts on show will be Atlantis 45, making its debut in America, and Atlantis 51. Both are concepts by Neo Design featuring sporty styling and a spacious layout: Atlantis 45 has two cabins with en-suite bathrooms and spacious, welcoming spaces that exploit a total beam of 4.25 meters; while Atlantis 51, at 16.18 meters in length, offers three cabins and two bathrooms.
Magellano: Magellano 66 is a product of the collaboration between Cor D. Rover(general lines and concept), Pierluigi Ausonio (water lines), and Federica Bertolini (interior design), all assisted by the Azimut Yachts design team.
S: three hugely successful models will be on show. S6 and S7 both offer unprecedented levels of efficiency by pairing a Volvo Penta triple-IPS propulsion system with Carbon Tech, and both feature exteriors by Stefano Righini and interiors by Francesco Guida.
Righini also designed the exteriors of Azimut 77S, while the interiors are by Carlo Galeazzi. The main features of this model are the pivoting stern platform and the outdoor areas for socialising in the bow and stern.
Flybridge: Righini and Galeazzi also designed the 50 Fly, whose winning features include surprising interior volumes and a bow area that is unique in its category, with a six-person bench in addition to the classic sunpad.
Azimut 55 Fly has taught, flowing exterior lines and an elegant, cosy alcove inside, while the 60 Fly stands out on one hand for the striking appearance of the exteriors and their sense of luminosity, and on the other for the sophisticated styling of the interiors. The input of Righini and of Salvagni is clearly recognisable in both yachts. The 66 Fly combines the utmost in onboard liveability with a hi-tech soul that delights in solutions inspired by the world of home automation and automotive design. Both it and the 72 Fly have four cabins and are the work of Righini in partnership with Galeazzi.
Grande. The 25 Metri has a streamlined profile concealing important interior volumes, a day area with an original layout designed as a single setting, and an interior design featuring colourful lacquer work. The 27 Metri stands out for the largest usable surface area in the category, for its flowing exterior lines, and for the fluid, welcoming interiors. Grande 30 Metri, finally, features elegantly sophisticated lines combined with advanced technical solutions. All three yachts in this Collection are the work of Righini and Salvagni working in partnership.
Benetti
“The recent sales to US owners of 65-meter custom yacht FB278 and the first Oasis 40M unit, a sophisticated, elegant yacht with interiors by New York-based firm Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture and exteriors by RWD, confirm the importance of the US market for Benetti,” said Benetti CEO Franco Fusignani.
The big novelty of the Boat Show’s sixtieth edition is the new Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina, where the most exclusive yachts are exhibited and Benetti will be presenting: “Lejos3”, the fourth Fast 125 unit, and “Mr Loui”, the second Mediterraneo 116 unit.
“Lejos3” is a 38.1 meter yacht with sporty, elegant exterior lines by Stefani Righini and contemporary interiors based on a concept developed by design firm RWD in close collaboration with Benetti’s Interior Style Department. The main features include the D2P – Displacement to Planing® Hull and the Carbon 65 Azipull (AZP C65)propulsion system, created in partnership with Rolls-Royce to reduce noise levels significantly and improve handling. The D2P hull has a wave piercer, allowing the yacht to be used both in displacement mode, with reduced consumption at low speed, and as a planing yacht at higher speeds.
“Mr Loui” is the second unit built of the Mediterranean 116 model, a 35.3-meter-long yacht with exteriors by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors by Ezequiel Farca, working in conjunction with Benetti’s Interior Style Department. The yacht’s special features include the spacious decks and in particular the remarkable Sun Deck, which offers a total area of over 80 square meters and a continuous walkable surface almost 16 meters in length.
The US boat show will offer the Group yet another opportunity to confirm the central importance of the Americas, which represent 42% of the Company’s overall results, and also to highlight its international prestige, driven by a desire to be bold and to innovate in terms of both technology and design, while guaranteeing the same levels of reliability and safety that have been distinguishing features of both brands’ products for the last fifty years.
